Pan-Seared Garlic Shrimp with Sky Valley Plum Sauce

    Ingredients

    • 1 head Fresh Garlic peeled and minced
    • 1/2 cup Sea Salt
    • 2 pounds Large unpeeled frozen raw shrimp
    • 1/2 cup Sky Valley Plum Sauce
    • few drops of hot pepper sesame oil if desired

    Directions

    Pour 2 cups boiling water in bowl; stir in sea salt and crushed garlic until sea salt is dissolved. Add 3 quarts cold water and stir well. Add shrimp and allow to stand 1 hour to brine. Drain and rinse thoroughly. Discard water and bits of garlic.

    Heat a large griddle or skillet on medium-high. Place shrimp in pan in one layer. Cook shrimp on one side until shells turn golden brown, about 2 minutes, then flip over and cook on other side another several minutes until golden brown on the other side. Serve on platter with Sky Valley Plum Sauce topped with a few drops of hot pepper sesame oil, if desired, and plenty of moist towels/napkins.
